The La Contessa Kastélyhotel **** is a neobaroque castle hotel, situated in a 7-hectare natural park in Szilvásvárad, 25 kms away from Eger. With its 45 double rooms and a 650-square metre wellness section, it offers the elegance and peace of bygone times.

The former Pallavicini palace, towering over the village like a citadel, prides itself on several hundred years of history and, restored to its original splendour, it opened its doors to welcome guests in 2009. The castle, lying at the foot of the Bükk mountains, is a venue offering an experience to remember, whether you arrive for a wedding, your honeymoon or a family holiday. Due to the nature of the surroundings, it also provides a pleasant environment for those seeking active and passive relaxation.

The elegant a'la carte restaurant of the castle, the Elizabeth Restaurant, brings together the worlds of modern reform/healthy cooking, specialities of the region and the flavours of traditional Hungarian cooking. Between 11am and 3pm on Sundays, the restaurant welcomes its Guests with the Happy Hours.

The Szalajka Conference Centre in the grounds of the park, equipped with the most up-to-date technologies, is an excellent venue for business meetings, conferences and team building trainings, as well as for organizing weddings, receptions and gala dinners. By request, the Pallavicini Hall of the establishment - which accommodates up to 180 people - can be divided into three smaller sections with soundproof mobile walls. Next to the conference room there is a VIP room of excellent design. Coffee breaks and standing receptions can be held in the winter garden, or weather permitting, on the terraces.

On the ground floor of the building, guests are welcomed by a bowling alley and squash court, a bar and a beauty section. The separate mansion, 100 metres away from the castle, will open in the autumn of 2011 and it will welcome its guests with 35 rooms.
